Opulence Hire – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all dress hire services provided by Opulence Hire (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking a gown with us, you (“the client”) agree to the following terms:


1. Bookings & Payment

  • All bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation to secure your hire.

  • A refundable security bond equal to 25% (¼) of the hire price is required in addition to the hire fee.

  • The bond will be returned within 7 business days of the gown being returned and inspected.

  • Prices are as listed on our website/Instagram and are subject to change at our discretion.


2. Hire Period

  • We offer 4 day and 8 day hire options.

  • The hire period begins on the day the gown is collected and ends on the agreed return date.

  • All gowns must be returned on time. Late returns will incur a $25 daily late fee.


3. Collection & Return

  • All hires are pick-up and return only from our Paradise Point studio.

  • Clients are responsible for collecting and returning the gown at the agreed times.

  • If someone else is collecting/returning the gown on your behalf, you must notify us in advance.


4. Cleaning & Care

  • Professional cleaning is included in your hire fee.

  • Clients must not attempt to wash, iron, or spot-clean gowns themselves.

  • Minor wear is acceptable, but significant damage, staining, or loss will result in the bond being retained.


5. Bond & Damage

  • A bond equal to ¼ of the hire price is required in addition to the hire fee.

  • The bond will be refunded within 7 business days of the gown being returned and inspected, provided no damage or late fees apply.

  • If a gown is damaged beyond repair, lost, or not returned, the client is liable for the full retail replacement value, and the bond will be kept.


6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Change of mind is strictly non-refundable.

  • Once a gown has been collected, the booking is non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • If your event is cancelled, you may be offered a date change, store credit, or partial refund at our discretion, provided sufficient notice is given.

  • Requests are assessed case-by-case, and Opulence Hire is under no obligation to issue a refund.


7. Sizing & Fit

  • We strongly recommend attending a try-on appointment prior to booking.

  • Once a gown leaves the studio, no refunds will be issued for change of mind or incorrect fit.

  • No adjustments or alterations are permitted to gowns under any circumstances.


8. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients are responsible for the gown from collection to return.

  • Gowns must be handled with care and kept away from smoke, fake tan transfer, heavy perfumes, and sharp objects.

  • Temporary styling aids (e.g., body tape, pins) must not cause permanent damage.


9. Liability

  • Opulence Hire is not liable for any injury, allergic reaction, accident, or damage caused while wearing or handling gowns.

  • The client accepts full responsibility for the gown while in their possession.


10. Formal & Ball Bookings

  • Due to high demand, we recommend securing formal and ball gowns at least 3 months in advance.

  • Strict booking and cancellation policies apply during peak seasons.


11. Agreement

By booking with Opulence Hire, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
